how to locate vin tag 1930 essex

new to site first time posting add just bought 30 Essex 4dr super six I have title but trying to locate vin tag location

Welcome to the Open Forum!

I'm not sure where the serial number plate is, myself, but someone will jump in here and tell you.  My guess is that it's somewhere on the engine side of the firewall.  It was also Hudson's practice to stamp the body serial number in several other places like the frame, the rear axle housing, and the rear spring perch (of some of the 1920's cars, I believe).

The tag is riveted to the firewall in the engine bay and is also stamped in the right hand rear spring perch.
