I need a new needle and seat for stewart  25 carby  itried to lap it in with valve grinding paste but it did not happen could someone advise me thanks ray

    Might help to know what car or engine this goes on.  When I first saw this I thought you were looking for someone named Stewart Carby!  I am not familiar with Stewart carbs.

    Valve grinding paste is too harsh.  You need top use silver polish, but you may have already damaged it beyond  saving.   If you have a lathe or drill press you can try re-shaping the needle using a fine stone.  I don't know if you will get a new one, but I probably have some used ones here.
