I am looking at replacing my automatic steering column in my 51 Commodore 8 with a manual shift one. I will be putting a shifter on the floor. My question is since these have the shifter on the column, how easily is the lever removed? How do they look once removed? I do not have one so I do not know what is all on the manual column.

The shifter is attached to the top of the column. If you are using a floor shifter, pull the shifter assembly from the top of the column.0
