window air conditioner

Does anyone know the official name of the air conditioner-mister that you hang on your window and fill with ice water and as you drive, it sends a mist into the car? I have one that I want to list on ebay for sale.

Swamp Cooler is what they're usually called, I believe.

The one on ebay lists for $8.00. That has to be a misprint. I never saw one for sale, but that price seems way too low especially one that looks that nice.

Notice $8 is only for the instructions not the swampcooler unit.

Careful if you find one of these "swamp coolers" and use it as intended.   My Super Wasp had one for occasional use (previous owner) on the right and left rear windows and both pieces of glass eventually developed cracks in them.

A friend of mine with a '49C8 takes his to car shows in the trunk and then hangs it with an explanation sign on the window.  Never uses it as an AC.
