My Dakota Digital gauges came with a full sensor kit that includes a universal fuel sender.
No idea if it will work with Hudson tanks or with the stock Hudson gauges.
Resistance range 10-180ohms. 6inch to 23 inch deep tanks.
Summit sells them for $33.20

Think I saw something about stock being 90ohms. Is that full or empty?
Summit search:
0empty - 90ohms full

"Tanks" makes a unit like the one in the picture above.
Several different ohms units available.
You can use one for the Hudson if you turn the sending unit upside down.
Gauge will read ok.
Need to buy adapter so you can put a 5 hole unit on the 6 hole Hudson tank.
Sender about $35 Adapter about $35
After thinking about it....a Hudson sender either 6 or 12 volt would be the best.
It would fit & read the best.
I used the Tanks unit for my Sun Pro gas gauge. I modified the swing best I could...reads 7/8 when full and 1/8 when empty. I drove w/o a working gauge for 20 years. Used mileage. Now fool proof.
