35 Terraplane transmission seal repair

Mt transmission has had a severe rear transmission leak ever since I had it rebuilt two years ago. I called at the time I installed it and spoke to the tech who rebuilt the trans. and he told me to drive it for awhile to see if it would get better. It didn't so I bit the bullet and removed the back end of the trans while it was still in the car.
Judging by the looks of the old seal and the grove in the yoke it looks like nothing was done to clean up the yoke or change the seal when it was rebuilt. I purchased a new seal and a "speed ring" seat at my local bearing shop and got everything together and have driven the car several times and have about 65 miles on the new seal with no leaks whatsoever.
Thought I would share some photos just in case someone has the same issue and could use the numbers on the seal and ring.

Thanks for the info Mike. I just hope your mechanic made a better job of the rest of the transmission than he did of this.
