54 huson brake pedal removal ??

what to take tranny pan out and brake rod needs to be removed got the nut off but is it press fit or screws out ?? thanks

Tool for brake pedal removal can be seen at Ken Cates webslite.
OR, RL Chilton says, Remove the nut on the backside of the panel and with a phenolic or brass hammer, tap it up and out of the brake arm. Best to put the nut on the threads but let the nut stick out and hammer on the nut to break it loose. That way, you won't take the chance of damaging the threads.

i hit some but thought if it was thearded that would not work will heat and try again thanks0

possibly the trans floor pan has a notch around the brake rod so slide sideways or cut hole edge open to slide pan off. Ray

got it off thanks used a puller and the shaft has splines that is why i could not get it to turn some to lossen thanks0
