has anyone put a 350 Chevy in a Hornet mid 50's. Is there a transmission adapter to a Hudson automatic

By "mid 50s," do you mean 1951-54, or 1955-57? Because they are completely different cars. The transmissions on most of the early Hornets were GM Hydramatic IIs.0
