Thank you Val, I did try them & they do not have the 27 windshield post rubbers.0
-
Would you have by any chance a picture of what they were supposed to look like?0
-
Try Restoration Supply they may have what you need.

Restoration Supply does not have the rubber pads. Attached is a picture of the windshield post area from an internet picture. The rubbers look correct but I can not be sure if they are original.
Thank you,
Jack

Well if you can use flat rubber stock I can supply that. If it's a molded part I can't.0
-
Thank you Lance but I am sure it is a molded part.

Try Steele Rubber products. They have a catalog for independent manufactures and you'll probably find what you need.0

I have looked at the parts Steele has to offer but there is nothing close.
Thank you,
Jack

How to>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGFGzU-U5Z8
materials>> https://www.mcmaster.com/#casting-compounds/=18mph0i
You do know you can mold your own !! Go to McMasterCarr and get the plaster casting compounds and the Urethane rubber compound-would guess around 40 duro.Watch 17 minute video on doing it.
Then you can make more and sell~~
probably your only option if you don't want flat !!0 -
Val, thank you for the link. I do not see anything there that will do the job though.
Richard, thank you for the information. I have thought of casting the parts but it would be very helpful to see a picture of an original rubber piece. It must be a very odd shape since the hole in the cowl is an entirely different shape than the windshield post.

Jack, Saw Dave Kostansek's 27 BT at Fort Wayne. It is under construction but driveable !
Looks very nice. He used rubber from late 20's Chrysler which he got from Steele (I think) . Might call him to verify and share info. Listed in club roster and in WTN parts for sale. I have not started on mine, just gathering parts
