Help with Antenna installation please

I know I have inquired about under running board antennas for my 39 before. But I do wonder "if" I wanted to put a cowl mounted one on how difficult is that to do What are the steps to do so? Where on the car do they go??

why don't you go to Walmart and try one of these laying on the rear package tray. 7 foot shielded cable. Amplified antenna. 12V
or a loop antenna. Or something similar if you don't want to drill holes.
Don't know if you are 12V, AM only, FM only, etc

Easy to get 6 v from 12 v but just drill the holes I guess?
