Essex Frame interchange

i have a 28 3 window coupe. I have access to a 26-27 frame. Will it work on a 28 second series coupe? I don't mind doing a few mods for running boards etc but just wondering if it will fit before I buy it
any help would be appreciated

The frame will interchange with the exception of the running board brackets are at a different height.

The main problem you will have - there are no front wheel brakes on the 'pre-28 chassis, so you won't have the cross shaft or linkages.
