No, the teeth are chamfered to enhance the mesh of the pinion. if you flip it round you first of all will have to get it off without damaging it, and secondly get it back on tight. you options are to get a new ring gear, or build up the worn teeth and carefully re-grind the faces and chamfer them. The ring gears are different for automatic or manual transmission.0
