New to the site. Recently started working on a 49 Commodore and am not to sure where to purchase certain items... starting with weatherstrip for the windshield and doors and probably 100 other odds and ends I havent even thought of. Any advice on where to start shopping would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance, Jason

Welcome to the Forum!  For the rubber (and clutch) parts I would suggest Wildrick's, http://www.wrphet.com/  With Hudsons, you won't find a huge supplier that sells all things, as you would with Fords or Chevvies.  Instead, you will find a number of suppliers, each of whom specializes in a handful of products.  On my Hudson Repro webpage you will find a list of a few of these suppliers, as well as a number of webpages listing people who make small quantities of specific repro parts for Hudsons.   http://www.detailedconcepts.net/Repro_Table.pdf

If you intend to keep your car awhile, I would suggest joining the H-E-T Club, which acts as a sort of clearinghouse of information and parts.  There are about 40 chapters around the U.S., and a number of local and regional meets and flea markets for Hudson parts both original and repro. And of course a yearly international meet.  The Club publishes a magazine with lots of ads for cars and parts, and sponsors its own website, and this forum as well.  Here is the homepage.  Here's the link https://www.hetclub.org/
