1953 Hydramatic Transmission color?

Mine is rebuilt and I wonder what was the original color?
Would assume that the pan is black?

    Pan and case are gold, same as engine.

    Tks, Ric; doing a total fluid change and thought it was time to find out and correct as can be from the bottom; {Yes, I have a lift {couldn't live w/o one}. The housing is faded almost to grey; but the pan is new black. Was done before I got car.

    Wow, after seeing the fluid, smelling it, and seeing what was in the pan 10,000 miles after rebuild, I strongly. suggest that all step down hydramatic cars be treated to a total 11 quart total change before the coming driving season if yours has that many miles on it..
