Pressure plate failing?
I mentioned in a previous post that my clutch seemed to be slipping at higher speeds. It has gotten worse in that it did the same thing when I went around a curb. Now it’s to the point that the transmission disengages periodically regardless of speed or the terrain. I have to let off the gas for it to re-engage. I don’t think it’s the overdrive because it does the same thing when the overdrive is switched off. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you need a new clutch plate. The corks are worn to a point that they won't grab under pressure and slip. Had the same thing on a Terraplane I had years ago.0

Thanks. I will see what I can do about replacing it.0
