Disc brake conversion on Commodore Eight.

My '50 Commodore project has been on hold for the better part of two years now, due to some deaths in the family that required more priority and all the spare time I could muster for a while.  I am getting back into the restoration, going through the acquired and old parts, refreshing my memory and loving every minute of it.  The dusty old 4-door is on my mind again!   
I picked up where I left off with a disc brake conversion kit, replace all the lines and now I'm trying to figure out what type of master cylinder to use and where to mount it.   The kit says not to try to use the stock MC.   Since it is very much a part of the original brake pedal, what did you folks who made the conversion do for the MC.  Mounting it on the firewall has worked for others, I know, what kind of conversion to the pedal did you fellows make?   Any suggestions or part #s?
The conversion kit looks very good and I want to finish it off with a quality MC setup...keith

Nothing wrong with using the original MC; I am, and have added Power Brakes and it will stop on 'a dime'; also have remote fluid resv.
How this relates to what you are doing with the car I do not know.

FYI

There are a number of St Rod Companies that sell underfloor power master cylinder. Just Google Underfloor Master Cyl. The under floor Master Cyl requires a cheap proportioning valve to prevent drain back.

 I have done both under floor and Firewall Power with Discs. My latest conversion was a small firewall Booster with a swing pedal from a late model Malibu which only required drilling 4 holes with a large center hole for pushrod. The pedal bolted right inside on back of booster bracket. Stops very suddenly......Either way a Booster is the way to go....

Lots of MC/booster kits out there.  I'm doing a lot of research on brake/mc/booster plumbing.   Any advice on brake line?  Can I keep stock if its in good shape?   Also boosters are available 7, 8, and 9 inch.  Assuming I can find room on the firewall (looks like Ole Racer found room) any ideas on preference?

Here is the unit I used, underfloor; only 2 brake line connections {from MC and to distribution block} and the manifold vacuum connection; NO linkage. Basically avail. only from Au. Exactly like the one I replaced the stock one on my A. Healey.

I used a booster/master kit from ABS Power Brake (under floor), and the disc kit form them as well on my '47 Commadore
