What type of jacks

I've been using for over 38 years a Sears four wheel 2.5 ton jack to put my Hudson up on jack stands. I seldom use four jack stands when working under my car outdoors since the driveway is on a slight incline. Instead, I'll raise the front or rear (if rear, parking brake on) and then I'll block the tires with a block of wood on one side and the other with an old TWA (Trans World Airlines) aluminum wheel chock (it was used in the 1950's to hold Lockheed Constellations in place!). There you have it! Dan
