1950 pacemaker buying tips

I've been talking to someone about a car in my area and I am gonna see it in a few days. What should I look for as far as rust, wiring, etc? Thanks guys

    Try to get a knowledgeable HET member to look over the car with you, preferably someone that has actually restored a stepdown and knows what they are looking at. This might save you a lot of grief.

    The car is coming from a woman who had it passed down to her maybe from Dad or grandpa. Engine is a 454.

    You have a good point there with the brake setup because they would have changed the pedals too, seems like a lot of stuff has been done guess I'll just have to take a hard look at what parts are clearly not from the 50s
