Turn signals blinking too fast.

Anyone know what would cause this? '65 Ambassador, all four signals working but after one or two regular timed blinks they go into a mode that is way too fast. Almost continuous.

Is it in both directions? if so, the unit is faulty. If only one direction, you have a blown bulb.0

Both directions. By "unit" do you mean the flasher? All the bulbs are working. I was going to get a new flasher tomorrow as they are relatively inexpensive. Just don't like throwing parts at it. Thanks for your reply.0

Yes, the flasher.0

Thanks. Yep, new flasher-$3.95 at advanced auto=slow, steady signal lights.0
