G'day All,
Pls see photo of 16 inch steel wheel fitted to 37 Hudson

Are these wheels common and does anyone have any for sale ( pref in australia )

I am contemplating using them on the Railton to allow for larger brakes as opposed to the 9 inch or thereabouts drum which will fit inside the wire wheel hubs with no ventilation.

Thanks

phil

16" wheel was on the Hudson  15" was on the Terraplane unless otherwise ordered by customer.   In 1948 Hudson stopped using two sizes and went to a 15" standard for all Hudsons.

Any of the 5 stud wheels will fit, should not be too hard to find a set here, can't tell you if whether 15s or 16s are more common pre 48. 15" step-down wheels (48 and on) will be readily available, avoid the Australian made version if you go that way, they were prone to fatigue cracking.

Hello Phil. There is a man in Adelaide who advertises in the NSW, Vic and also the QLD Hudson club newsletters. I know he has some.

Terraplanes first had 17", with 16" optional.  I am unaware of any 15" wheel available before 1937
