Hudson Motor Car Co. Boeing B-29 part

Here's a Hudson built part that you don't see too often.  The tag identifies the part as Model No. B-29, Part No. 15-9852, Description Guard Assy. - Tail Turret (L.H.).   This apparently is a spare tail turret part manufactured by Hudson during World War II for the Boeing B-29 Superfortress.  Hudson built numerous sub assemblies for the B-29 during the war.  I purchased it off eBay a few months ago.  It is relatively small and very light being made of aluminum.  Wonder how it survived all these years.
