Mallory Distributor electronic ignition conversion

Recommendations for a electronic ignition replacement kit  - Vintage Mallory Model ZC Type 253C . 

I know that I can send the distributor to Pertronix, do not want to go that route.

    Trigger your favorite flavor of ignition module with the points. I ran a points triggered HEI before I put the Chrysler Slant Six distributor in. Takes the load off the points and makes them a simple switch. Need to make a bit of a circuit for HEI. I think the Ford units can be directly triggered without too much trouble.

    FYI

    I use Crane Fireball Point Eliminator Kit XR300/700 available on eBay for around $100+/-. It has a small 'Trigger' that goes where the points were with a slotted washer under the Rotor. It has a small Module mounted on the firewall with all plug-in connections.

    I also use the crane fireball xr3000.  With the exception on the loose bracket in the shutter wheel sensor it has been great.  Problem easily solved with a little locktite.
