1954 Hudson Wasp Disc Brake Conversion

Hi,
I am looking for some advice from anyone who has done a disc brake conversion on a Hudson stepdown. I have just acquired a '54 Wasp Club Coupe (2 dr) with a Hornet 308 7x engine. The brakes are original and the car came with a front disc brake kit which the previous owner had brought but not fitted.
Anyone had any experience / rigged up a brake servo arrangement off the existing pedal ?
What about the rear ... anyone converted to disc's as well or can you retrofit a hydraulic piston to the rear make the whole system hydraulic.
All experiences and feedback welcome.
Cheers
Andrew

Go to the website listed in my signature block. Select the Brakes area and when that page loads select the article detailing the addition of disc brake to a Dana 44.0

Thanks. I have just brought the car ... have been looking for a long while and it's the cream / magenta '54 club coupe that was on "bring-a-trailer". It came with an un-fitted disc brake kit (i assume for the front) and am trying to work out how best to fit it and connect into the servo.
Thanks for the tips. Am currently cleaning the car, checking it over and understanding what i need to take care off ... not much so far.0 -
The only front disk brake kit now available is from ABS, http://abspowerbrake.com/maincatalog_frameset.html

Very cool that is a club sedan vs a vs a coupe.
The top picture is the same as the car in the third picture 45 years later. It is a Wasp like your car. The blue car is a Super Wasp I purchased a few years ago. Use the info on my website to cover the task to add disc brakes to the rear. Another means is to find a Lincoln 8 bolt rear with disc brakes and the designed in emergency brake. We put that rear into my sons 66 mustang to complement the Granada disc brake change out at the front of his car.
Great that you are asking at this forum for advice. Join the National HET club and a local chapter. PM me and I will send you the SouthTexas Chapter newsletter. Ken0 -
Ken, I think those 2-door sedans are very cool. Would you say that the back seat area of a 2-door sedan is bigger than a 2-door club coupe? More leg room?0

It's the same amount of leg room. Only difference is the longer roof line and the shorter decklid. I've been in love with Ken's Super Wasp my whole Hudson life. Ken's been around those cars for his entire life.0
