Hudson paint color code

After much consideration I've about decided to keep the original color on my '38 Terraplane........BUT I'm going to need a number or code that I can turn into a modern formula. The remaining paint on the car is a deep beet color. Does anyone have a good paint code resource for this car, and the dark maroon color.

  A quick fleece bay search turned up this old chip page but I'm more interested in the information than collecting paper.

    That chip page may be your best bet. I don't believe the serial number will tell you anything related to paint codes. My 39 does not. I think that would be a nice color polished and buffed out.
