At the risk of being thought of as a jerk, I would ask why don't you just bondo over the hole and sand it down instead of going to the trouble of tearing your front sheet metal apart. Just curious.0

Fully expected. I speak of experience. Somebody drilled a 3/8 hole in the hood of a tractor I have to mount something. I used my wire welder to fill the gap and ground the top pretty.Ken U-Tx said:For something like that, thin metal, probably with deep rust pitting on the back side, if I was to weld it, MIG may just blast it away , so I would either gas weld it with a 000 tip and soft steel wire, or use lower heat silicon bronze alloy rod to fill the hole.0
