Hudson Terraplane Tune Up Kit

Can anyone share information about tolls I purchased at a garage sale from an 83 year old who reportedly worked at the Norfolk VA dealership back in the day. It's marked 1-819-B, Hudson Terraplane Tune Up Kit, Mfrd by Buckley XXXXX Co., Jackson, Mich. USA

  • Ken, I registered here to guage interest. Can a new "member" post on classifieds here? I'd like to see it go to a good home, but don't have any idea what a fair value would be. Any suggestions for passing it on to member who might treasure it?

If you decide on a price I'd be interested in the set.

  • 35 Terraplane, you will be first in line as soon as I can research some comps as to what it's worth. Thank you!

35 Terraplane, I've completed an inventory and researched prices I could find, piece parts only. I can't find any record that shows pricing for sale of the kit, including the Leatherette pouch. It appears the Leatherette pouch is very rare.
The kit is mostly complete, comparing to original BOM from Hinkley Myer the supplier to HMC (https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/view/24664704/1933-41-hinkley-meyers-special-tools, pg 52).
After all the research and realizing how rare this might be, my first pass is $325, plus shipping. Please take a look and get back to me; I probably can dicker a little for another car guy. Thank you.image

I have one of those kits. Mine is a little rougher though. Best bet is to put it on Ebay. That is where I got mine and paid $39 plus shipping. You may get way more than I paid, but I think $325 is a little stiff. imageimage

Ski4life65, fair enough! Yours is the first and only example of a complete kit that I've found since I started looking, and I really dug into the internet sites, so I assumed it was rare as hen's teeth. Also found the site that offered individual components in this kit by the piece, and used those prices to come up with my initial figure. Using those prices by the piece added up to way over $200 retail, without the case. Definitely not intentionally trying to gouge anyone here. I'll give 35 Terraplane a chance to make an offer like I committed to, and if that doesn't work out by the end of the weekend, I'll post it on eBay. Thanks!
