'50 Commodore. So, car is up on the lift. Am I safe to go ahead and remove the rear shocks from the car at this stage? Will rear springs support the axle ok?
Also, I see the shocks on my car had bellows boot covers whereas the ones I bought for replacement do not. Which is correct? Thank for any replies in advance. Don't wanna drop it on my toes!

Thank you for your informed replies, Ken. Another peculiar abnomaly regarding the condition of my "barnfind". I'll lower the car some to take some of the stress from the shocks before removing them and raising it again to make it easier for their restall. Also, I'll make a mental note to put them on "RSU" (right side up). k0
