Hi all, I’m going to go looi at a 51C6 coupe.
The owner claimes it’s a 308, but he had no idea when I pointed out (from photos )that it has a 262 head on it. It also has Twin -H on it as well , with a 3 speed with overdrive. I’m going to see it in person on Monday.
So if someone can point out what determines a short block/long block 262 and what determines visually a 308 block.
I have many Hudson’s but I’m unfamiliar with the step downs.
Thank you ,and of course I will follow up with pictures.

The 308 has a reinforcing rib cast into the length of the block on both sides about two inches above the oil pan rail.0
