Gary Kuck, who won Great Race in Hudson, passes away.
Gary Kuck died recently. https://greatrace.com/news/gary-kuck-passes-away.html
Mr. Kuck entered a reproduction 1917 Hudson racer in the Great American Race for a few years, and won that race in 1998 and 1999. He was also part of a committee that kept the Great Race going from 2003-2005. Although he was not an H-E-T member in recent years, he should be remembered for having kept the Hudson name in the spotlight due to his racing activities.

I am not sure that anyone posted that Dick Burdick passed away in Feb. Dick, of Dick's Classic Garage Museum near San Marcos TX. Dick won one of the Great Race events in a 1916 Hudson, which is currently displayed at the Museum. Unfortunately the museum will be closing on 12/31 and everything auctioned off, including a stepdown and the 1916, plus a Tucker! My family visited the museum in March shortly after Dick's passing. He was also a long time Scouter and National Commissioner of the BSA.

The 16 Hudson was owned jointly by Dick and another museum partner. It was sold and is no longer at the museum. The plan before Dick died was to remove the very valuable engine and replace it with a Hornet motor so that the car could be used locally at meets and cruises. This was not to be and the project was not completed.0
