HUDSON 1951-1953 FRONT HORSECOLLAR/GUARD adapt?

I have a 1949 Hudson Super and am thinking of attaching the 1951-1953 Hudson Front Horsecollar/Guard on my 1949 rear bumper.
Has anyone here done this and could they tell me how close a fit it is and what adaptation was required?

Also does anyone have a horse collar in restorable shape that I could buy to grind and adapt before rechroming?

Thanks fliptop, I have searched Ebay and the only front bumper horse collar guard I found is a rechromed one.
Don't want to pay for previous rechroming if I'm going to have to massage it to fit my '49 bach bumper and then get it rechromed again.

Thanks Ken, you are talking about the "'52 Front" license frame guard put on the back of my '49....aren't you?
