Hi Guys
I just signed up and also just purchased a 51 Commodore coupe. I had a 52 Hornet coupe in high school. It was a mild custom, nosed & decked and lowered 6" front & back. Went from a hot Hornet to a stock 55 Olds (should have stopped here) to a radical olds w/ a 37 La Salle transmission. Seemed like a good time for another one.
I've been playing with LS powered resto-mods for the last 10 years (1980 AM80 Chevw/LS@, 1981 Coupe DeVille w/2013 6.0 and a Sonoma w/LS1). The 262 W/hydrmatic will take some getting used to.

Welcome to the H-E-T Open Forum, Fred! What a great looking car!If you have Hudson technical questions or need to know where to buy stuff, just ask! Meanwhile, you might want to list your approximate location; there are Hudson club activities going on all the time, national, regional and local, and you might be near one of them. (The National Meet is taking place in Iowa right now, for instance.) Not to mention individual club members who might happen to live right down the street, and could be helpful if you get into a bind.In case you didn't know about the Hudson club, here's where to learn more: https://www.hetclub.org/0

Fred, you live within the boundaries of the New England Chapter of the Hudson club. You might want to check it out and attend a meet or two, to get to know some of your Hudson neighbors! http://newenglandhetclub.com/
