Cleaning my engine to repaint it Gold. What can be told by these numbers and this block on the side. For some reason I’ve always thought this was a later block than a ‘53 . Is it a ‘53 ? Thanks,Dave oh acetone in a Home Depot spray bottle and a wire brush and a rag make quick work of removing the old paint.

Block was cast on Sept.28 of 1955 by Campbell,Wyant and Cannon for Muskegon Michigan. Probably has hydraulic lifters, or did at one time.0
