Trim installation

What method is used to attach stainless trim on body panels and around doors. I have a few trim retainers. Are these attached to panels using screws or other fasteners?

    They used short phillips head sheet metal screws. By short I mean about 3/8"  overall.

    Do anyone have the trim retainers used on the upper door above the window. 53 Hornet
    I need to acquire 11 of these
