  • Thanks Ken,

I would Love to join the Club I can not do so since I have been on this forum do to my
financial situation You know nothing about me and I am very greatful for all the Help.
When I can afford to join I shall indeed do so right now my job is gone as Walmart Canada is closing most of there garages. I make little over minimum wage after being there 13 years. I have a Bills like everyone else, for me joining the het club would mean other bills would not get paid. For many members I sure do not have this problem. Perhaps Buying this car was a bad idea but it is what it is I like it and I need some
Help from this forum which I so enjoy. I respect your opinion and I Hope you do mine.
If you do not want me to ask any more Questions on this forum I will abide by that
and not ask another. I thank all those people on this forum who took the time to Help me.

Yours Truly Hudson Lover Bernie Buechman

Bernie, your well written post is much more personal than I expect and may I say that those who do not understand are entitled to thier opinion.  You are welcome to ask me via PM or on the forum.  The HET club was founded by folks who wanted to help other members keep their HET cars safely maintained as well as share a common automotive interest.  I have been a member for 49+ years and I still believe all HET owners to be welcome to my help.  You can also go to my website where I have tried to add information Germaine to keeping our cars safely operating.

  • My 1941 Hudson deluxe six has the flat six 175 with 9inch clutch now I would like to know if I should first try adjusting the clutch linkage will this help the slippage problem and as well how do I get at this linkage is in from the inside of the car or on a lift from under neath. I noticed where the clutch pedal goes through the floor board there was a part of the floor which appears to be able be removed from around the pedal shaft. as well is there to be a piece of rubber between the spring and the floor board on the outer side of the floor board. my pedal travels 3/4 of the way up before the clutch is engaging.

                                                                                   Thanks so much Bernie
  • Thanks again so if I do need to buy a clutch disc would I need to replace anything else as it seems there is a clutch fluid leak under the car as well. is there a seal I would need to get at the same time.

                                                                Thanks Bernie
