Routing Wiring To Rear of Stepdown

What are the preferred paths to run the wiring to rear of a stepdown other than under headliner?

Larry, If you have a Hudson shop manual the indicated way of wiring the rear of the car after manufacture,was to channel it through the driver side rocker panel and up over the  top of the rear inner wheel well into the trunk area.
