Disguised heater control box

I was trying to think of ways to add AC to my '49 Super without making it too obvious inside the car, and wondered if anyone ever used the original heater box? Too small, or do-able?

Recently I viewed a video of a company that resto-rodded a 49 Hudson Coupe. The AC was integrated into the bottom piece of the dash. It was very well done and would appear original equipment to the non Hudson person.0

Not particularly fond of their vent solution but totally blown away by the construction of the car itself! Spent way too much time viewing a lot of other videos of Icon Derelicts....their work is outstanding.
Would still like to repurpose the heater box...anybody ever try it?
Thanks Glowplug for the inspiring video.0 -
Did anyone else notice they put so much heat and sound barrier down, that it's not a stepdown anymore?0
