'50 Eight heater hoses

In 1950 did the Eight cylinder come with all rubber or rubber&steel pipe (like the 6's did at some point) for the heater hose lines?

The heaer line which comes off the water pump is a steel tube much like the one used on the 6-cyl. (slightly different bend though). The tube ends about even with the heater tube hose connection on the top of the head. The tube connects to the heater core via hose
