Clifford question
Has anyone else experienced such a delay in receiving parts from Clifford?,I paid for a 4 barrel intake and adaptor over two months ago and just get excuse after excuse from a Larry Millwee.I am now wondering if I got ripped off by someone posing as the Clifford company as I never even got a receipt. The latest e-mail claims he gets behind because of casting dual quad maniflods, now everyone knows no one uses dual quad intakes any more.Man I'm getting concerned, alot of time has passed already.

Got my order in 1 week, but it was off the shelf. Are those dual quads for a Hudson or what? Clifford usuallystays with the inline stuff, not V8 or V6s.0

I too am waiting for my order: 308 4bbl intake & dual headers placed on 01/09/06. I just sent an email off this evening asking for status...

Jack Clifford died several years ago. I have heard many bad things about the business since.0

Clifford seems to be concentrating on its Jeep and Chevy accessories which is understandable since its a way bigger market. The way I see it the fact we can get anything from them for a Hudson is a plus. As long as we keep ordering they will keep making them. I got my stuff after a 4 week wait but it was around 300 bucks for a set of ceramic coated headers which was a great price.
Moral of the story is we are going to have to wait for orders as they will not stock a lot of parts as thats money sitting on a shelf for maybe 50 orders a year. We have to wait after an order for them to manufacture the part. If its in stock you will get it much quicker.0 -
patience, patience you'll get your stuff and it will be worth the wait, when i ordered my chevy stuff it took over a month to get it (4barell intake, headers, cam)but wow did my engine come alive!i ordered my hudson stuff in mid december(intake, headers)and the guy told me it would be at least 2 months,of course i said that would be okay.believe me you'll get your stuff and when you see and feel the difference in your engine, this wait will be a distant memory.good luck0

Greetings from Colorado!
I have all the patience in the world, but not a lot or tolerance. I have no problem waiting for a high quality piece of merchandise/hardware, but I do have a problem when it comes to lack of communication. I am in the customer service business. Timely communication and contact are the name of the game. If you keep your customers informed when an issue arises and timing isn't where it needs to be, most customers will understand and work with you.
Personally, the issue that I have, is that I paid over $700.00 for products. Up front. When I placed the order on-line, I did not receive confirmation of my order. No email, no phone call. I waited patiently for about 10 days. I finally initiated contact by phone, confirmed the order but did not receive an ETA. I did receive a promise of contact by phone, which came when I was out. The contact said that they would call back on a certain day and within a general time frame. I made myself available, but the call never came.
After waiting another week, I sent an email requesting status. I do have to say the I was impressed with the response. I sent the message on Saturday night and received an answer Sunday morning. ETA is 3-4 weeks.
That's all I wanted. Personal contact and status.
