Stainless Retainer Question
I am looking for a source for the stainless retainer for my '53 superwasp that run the full width of my car just above the bumper and below the tailights. The strip is approximately 2" wide and is retained by screws on the ends. I did'nt see them listed in KGAP catalog.
thanks,
Rich

I know the piece you are talking about and I don't think you will find a metal retainer that will fit. Perhaps some of the modern plastic "universal" retainers would work. You might also try a local auto body supply store. Most of them carry a variety of "chrome clips". Take your trim piece with you. I have two Wasp trim pieces, both have rusted and missing retainers. I plan on making my own from some flat galvinized stock and braze some screws on to attach with. I plan on installing one on my 49 Super. Good luck0
