mohair

I hadn't realized mohair was so rare and expensive! Reckon I'd better invest in a ranch and become a mo wrangler! Head 'em up! Move 'em out! (--squeek!--squeek!--)
Have you tried places like LeBaron Bonney http://www.lebaronbonney.com/ and SMS Fabrics http://www.smsautofabrics.com/ ? As to 'kits', I rather doubt anyone is offering a ready-to-install upholstery kit for a '27 Hudson. Ford Model T, maybe...
Anyway, good luck!0 -
That price is probably corrrect. I did a 1936 buick about 5 years ago and paid $80 or so a yard. Find a good upholstery shop and they will sew the covers for you. I'm guessing that now would be a good time to have the seat frames blasted and redone as well. Get some new wool for cushion and your hind end will thank you as you drive from car show to car show.0

You need to find someone who is knows old cars . Talk to him about your options. I am having my T8 coupe done now by a gentleman who matched mohair well enough that you could not tell, using more modern materials. In the last 3 months he has done a 33 T8 Convt., a 35 Buick convt.and getting ready to do a 1919 Essex for me.0
