thanks Ivan! a report on the shop tour NorCal

we toured a GREAT super secret shop today in Marin county (Northern California) and saw some wonderful stuff, including The (soon to be) World's Fastest Hudson.

i'm too dumb to operate a camera, but i saw several people snapping away,so let's encourage them to post some pictures.

it was great to meet a bunch of Hudnuts in the prescence of such historically significant vehicles, including several Grand Prix Bugattis,an Alfa Romeo 8C Superleggerra, and (my favorite) a Hispano-Suiza boat-tail special.

our host has a wealth of knowledge, equal to the task of answering very obscure facts off the top of his head.our bunch was well aquitted with automotive lore themselves, and i managed to learn quite a bit from all present.

BTW,if anyone is looking for a sweet 1952 Twin-H Hornet coupe,Ivan is looking for a good home for it,so he can concentrate on his Bonneville bound Pacemaker.

  • i almost forgot, there was a 1914 Grand Prix Peugot,in my opinion THE most historically significant race car ever built .
