Oil Pumps
I'm rebuilding my 262 motor, and have a new brass gear for the end of the oil pump shaft that is driven from the camshaft.
My question pertains to the oil pump itself. I don't think I've ever seen one of these listed for sale in the WTN, ebay, etc. Is it that they rarely wear out?
I know that the minimum acceptable dimensions of the rotor are called out in the factory manual, and mine are right on the edge.
Does anyone offer new replacement rotors, etc.? Any experiences with replacing these oil pumps?
Thanks,
Doug
