What adhesive to use ?

Hello all,
I'm putting my '47 C8 back together and I was wondering what adhesive to use to attach the rubber fender guards not stick enough, they fall off. Too aacidic they fall off and take the paint with em.......what they right stuff?

Hi,--- If this were my problem, I would try 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive, readily available at most auto parts stores. If this was not suitable, then I would consider contact cement. Hope this helps.
