Question On Headlight Adjusting Spring In Bucket

Does anyone know where to find the springs that are in the headlight buckets. Mine need replacing. I have a 54 Hornet. They are probably the same from 48 to 54 I would assume.
Thanks, Paul in MN

This is just an educated guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't find similar springs in most Brand-X's of the era. Hudson wouldn't have invented their own headlight system. If a supplier offered headlight buckets and hardware, that same supplier probably sold it to most of the car companies. Therefore, contact some GM or Ford antique parts supplier with a description, and he may have something pretty darn close!0
