    I just realized that there was an article in the latest issue about the racing tradition of this great car. It was a race in 1969 . The Gene Conners Memorial Hill climb in 1969 many heads were turned. Some Guy in a 69 hopped up firebird complained to the officials that the 53 Hornet shouldn't be able to race because he was a joke. At the end of the Race the Hornet wiped everyone up . The guy with the Firebird wanted to know what could possibly be under the hood. How could a worked 308 beat a worked 400 v8 ?
