Putting The Stainless Back On My Hornet, Didnt Know That The Shape Of The Car Would Change During Painting. Lol Would Sure Like To Know How In The H--l It Was Put On During A Assembly Line.

  • Sandblast And Paint Retainers Before Installing With Short Panhead Screw, After A Brillo Pad Treatment Removeing All Rust From Back Of Stainless And Polishing Front, Hook The Stainless On The Top Lip Of Retainer And Using Left Hand Pressure Strike The Stainless With A Large Rubber Mallet Moving Ahead Only 3 Or 4 Inches At A Time, It Helps To Have A Helper Hold In Place And Apply Pressure It Will Snap Right On, Have Don Over A Hundred Cars. Also Use A Liberal Amount Of Wd 40 On Back Of Stainless, It Wipes Right Off Without Any Paint Damage, Good Luck, Bill Albright, Be Sure To Strike Mallet On The Rib And Bottom Not The Wide Area On 52,53 And 54 Stainless
