BIll, That sounds like a great opportunity. I wish I had the space to buy it. That is a good situation for someone.
  • That is a great looking Commodore you have there Bill. If I didn't already have a nice Super Six coupe in about the same shape - I'd be all over yours.

  • Nice car. I just wonder if the 50-51 side moldings were dealer installed or former owner installed?
  • This looks a lot like my 50 Pacemaker, wish I was that far along. Wish I had that Dash, it is a beauty. By the way, I need a couple of the arms that hold the hood up, mine flop all over the place. Should I try to rebuild them some way or get replacements?
  • What a terrific project to start with, and price is very fair for a running and rust free coupe. This would be a great one for the "hudsonkid" if it was on this side of the USA. The coupes have such great lines for the late 40's and early 50's.
  • Very nice car. I am surprised it has a after market radio and fender mounted antenna. I guess it was originally a radio delete Commodore? Niels

My neighbor gets cars hauled from Florida to Arizona for around $500! hudsonkid may want to consider checking some transport companies or other member's travel plans. Its hard to find a rust-free car, especially a coupe this nice these days. And it would even harder to find ones without rust problems back east. Can't blame him though, I love the look of the coupe! :-)

  • ref hood props, someone may have taken the coil springs off or they are broken or missing, take a pair of pointed vise grips and give them another wrap, will increase tension and hold them erect stiffly, if this doesnt work, have good replacement arms to sell you, bill albright
  • the side trim was available in mid 49, dealer installed, just has a spear on front fenter, the nameplates were added in 50 and continued in 51 to identify the model BILL ALBRIGHT
  • The view thru the windshield has me dreaming about going to the

Junkyards with my dad back in the late 60's.

What a view! All those potential projects just waiting for someone

to come along with a dream and a pocket full of cash.
