Wiper Motor Question

I have two wiper motors in front of me. One, that came off the car, has TWO tubes where you can put a hose. The other has ONE. All the cars I see photos of have just one. I know it worked before I took it off the car, but I am just curious why the one I took of the car has a places for two hoses? Is it for a later car? Is the second fitting for a hose or what? I guess what I really want to know is which one is correct for a 49.

Hi Dennis, I think the other port is if you hook up windshield washers. I installed them on a 49 once and kind of remember using that port for the windshiels washers. On a 49 you have to turn the wiper knob the opposite direction to activate the washers.
