Driveshaft bearing mounts?

Looking for a quick fix to ripped driveshaft bearing mounts. I drilled out the rubber and used it as a spacer then put a bolt through it and tightened it all down. Will this cause problems?

    Nope! It won't hurt. In fact, that's one of the "severe duty" modifications, explained on Ken Cates Hudson Restoration Website. I did that to mine, because I swapped to a High Horsepower Chevy motor.
