Hi all:

Y and Z has a harness pattern for a 2 dr coupe. Will this work for my 50 Super 6 *Brougham*?

Thanks for any and all thoughts...

Jase, I can't think of a reason it wouldn't be correct. I think the only difference in the cars is the top length. All other dimensions are the same. The only difference I might think of would be between Commodore and Super in the interior lighting. The Commodore had more courtesy lights and a instrument light dimmer under the dash.

    Wire it up!
  • Jase, Can't say anything about Y&Z as far as harnesses go. However ,the harness I got from Rhode Island Wiring had a few quirks. First, they did not make a complete harness for a sedan/brougham. Who knows? They could supply you with coupes and converts but if you wanted lighting for the interior of your sedan,/brougham you fabed it yourself.Since you have a Super brougham, you would have no interior lights other than a dome light which a coupe harness would have. The only other pigtails that you would possibly have on your new harness with no use for are the door courtesy lights. If the harness is complete then that's all you should have to worry about. You might want to check to see that it had turn signal wiring. Although an option from Hudson when new, you would certainly want them on your new harness. If they follow the book on harnesses reproduction, you might have to ask for them. Good luck.

    Bill,

I am restoring 54 Hornet Special. You say Y and Z is the place. Do they help with wiring diagram, and mark all wires as to where they go?? Where is this place located?

    Thanks, Paul in MN
